has its roots in the former Panon Group, originally founded
in 1984 and based in Hong Kong. Panon Group has a diversified
business scope focused on various kinds of project investment
in China. In hospitality industry, the group has a real-estate
operation named Grand China Hotel in Guangzhou, China, a travel
agent operation named HallBell Travel Co., Ltd. in Hong Kong
and individual restaurants outlet under different names in both
Hong Kong and China.
In 2003, the group aims to expand their hospitality business
through organic growth and through franchise agreements, however,
the current brands are a mixed group that need to be rationalized
into names and standards that can be marketed effectively.
It is now re-branded as HallBell Group.
Hallbell Hotel Management Ltd., a new management team headed
by Bonnie and Judy, is committed to lead HallBell in rapid
expansion starting with the development and launch of "HallBell
De Fond", a new "Business-Club Hotel" concept
for international budget business travelers. It is also a
tailor made franchising program that offers added values in
terms of "room quality", "average room rate"
and "occupancy rate" to domestic 3-star hotel operators
in China, whom currently not able to serve international budget
business travelers due to non-competitive facilities and software
capability
